Roman King is a NYC-based Creative Director who's all about telling stories through visual media, building brands, ensuring marketing and creative teams click, and staying on the pulse of culture.
Since joining the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) as Creative Director in 2019, he has spearheaded all creative efforts emanating from the brand, including television advertising, design, brand marketing, storytelling, and experiential. Some of his creative accomplishments for the WNBA include launching the league's 2019 rebrand, their 25th-anniversary campaign 'Count It' in 2021, and the league's first-ever short film We Are The W in 2022. His work at the WNBA has been recognized by Ad Age, Adweek, Clio Sports Awards, Ebony, Muse, MTV News, the Webby Awards, among others.
His prior experiences include creative leadership roles in editorial and marketing capacities at Rolling Stone, Philadelphia magazine, and Condé Nast.
Roman is an alumnus of Yale School of Management's Business Perspectives for Creative Leaders program and hails from the mountain state of West Virginia, where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) at West Virginia University.
